Programs
To meet the goal of serving those in need, Travelers Aid case aid volunteers provide travel assistance and/or referrals to its clients. The philosophy of Travelers Aid is to work with people in crisis by developing a case plan. Clients are fully evaluated to determine specific needs and problems. A volunteer case aid then works with the individual and follows through until those needs are met. Volunteers from the community implement the following programs:
- CRISIS INTERVENTION AND REFERRAL SERVICES are available for individuals and families in the Inland Empire who meet Travelers Aid's guidelines for service. All clients must have a support system at their destination that can be verified.
- TRAVEL ASSISTANCE is provided for families and individuals who are in San Bernardino and Riverside counties. Children may travel with parents. Assistance for individuals under 18 years old is not available.
- EMERGENCY SERVICES are available on those occasions where the need is great and may include transportation and temporary lodging.
- INFORMATION AND REFERRAL SERVICES are provided to the traveling public at LA/Ontario International Airport.
